The Aftermath

Well, I made it home. It's nice to be back home in my own bed and with the kids sleeping in their own beds. It sure makes for a more peaceful sleep. But I came home to a super messy house. I think Mr. Cowboy did absolutely nothing while I was gone. Okay, he didn't do "nothing", he just didn't do any house cleaning. I won't go into all the details of the filth, because it's nasty and dirty and makes me want to pull my hair out. But now I am cleaning house instead of being able to blog. And trust me, it needs a good scrub down. So, until I get my house in order, I will not have time to update my blog with pictures from my vacation. I really wanted to post pictures of our fun trip into the mountains to roast hot dogs. But that will have to wait. So, right now I am off to bed, then tomorrow I need to refill the pool (it was nasty green when I got home), and them mop, put clothes away, vacuum, do dishes, do laundry, clean the bathrooms, clean off the counters and the kitchen table from 2 weeks worth of mail, and then try really hard not to be super mad at Mr. Cowboy for not picking up a dang thing while I was gone. Just a little idea of what he didn't do.......Cowpokette's high chair tray was still sitting on the kitchen table, where I had left it the morning we left, with breakfast crumbs still on it. I won't go into the rest of the stuff but I am not a happy camper. So, off to sleep then some more cleaning tomorrow. UHG! Oh, and you see that baby there? Yes that buckskin one? Well, she isn't that color anymore. She is a dirty brown. It makes me want to cry. Someone PLEASE reasure me that she will shed out one more time and go back to her pretty buckskin color? PlEASE!!!!!

Why do men not think that they ever need to help out around the house? Heaven knows that we certainly help out OUTSIDE the house - like in the stable.

Don't stress out too much.

Your little girl there may shed out one more time it's hard to say. Our girl from last year started out looking blood bay, shedded liver chestnut and is now a seal brown.

Well Good Morning!

Sorry about the mess - I hate it when men do that. My hubby has only dared to do that once, it's so inconsiderate and selfish. After the fight that ensued after I got back, he's never done it since. Not saying that's the best way to handle the situation - but it worked for us. I travel so much for work now that he has to clean - plus my back still isn't good enough for some major house cleaning duties.

Honey - I don't think that babe is gonna be buckskin. I was thinking that when she was smaller but didn't say anything cause I was really hoping for you she'd stay that way. BUT I don't think she'll end up a dirty brown either - give her a chance to finish shedding and darkening up...he mane and tail will darken up and I am hoping and thinking you'll have a really pretty bay. And that good, right? Bays are always pretty! I think anyways.

They are easy to match outfits to - easy to buy tack for and and and they are easy to clean up. Plus they are good eye candy. If you want her to be a Hunter - Bay is great!

Then again could she end up grulla (sp?)? Again which I think is a pretty color.

I have seen lots of browns that I like too - again give her a chance to be pretty for you - I was so disappointed that Patrick didn't grey out, but felt bless to get the white mane and tail (which seem to be darkening to more of a flaxen despite the sun) and spots.

Yay!! You're Home!! Doesn't it just totally ruin the whole thing to come home to an icky house? I hate that more than anything. When ya get it under control, I'm ready for some play time! My little squid is driving me insane these days. There is no doubt her birthday is right around the corner. I need you for a planning meeting! lol

Oh Andrea, I know exactly how you feel about coming home to a mess. Sometimes I dread taking vacations-even when my hubby is with me-because there is always so much to do when I get back. Hang in there! :)

About that buckskin foal...I hate to say it, but she may end up being that same bay color that Ozzie is. Are they 1/2 siblings?
Don't worry though, she is still pretty.

Yep, feel your pain. I have a love/hate relationship with vacations. Love to go on them, hate coming home to whatever was left behind.

I'm learning that with final foal color, it's a guessing game. They change every day, don't they? lol!
I sure hope she stays a buckskin for you, but be prepared that she might not...at least then you won't be too disappointed. :P

I know all too well about those sloppy men behaviors. Don't get me started on the bathroom...gah!

Hang in there. I hope stuff's not too messy around there so you can have a little vacation from the vacation. :)

Sorry Andrea. I hope by now you have it looking the way you want. Have you forgiven him yet?

Whatever color, she's still a beauty.
