Go Speed Racer GO Party!!!

Little Cowpoke is obsessed with Speed Racer. So, when I asked him what kind of Birthday Party he wanted to have he answered, "A Speed Racer, Monster Tuck, Beach Party!" Well, since I wasn't going to do all three in one, we did a Speed Racer Swim Party. The first fun event of the day was a ride in Paw Paw's wagon. While the kids rode with some of our Birthday Party guests, I finished up on the cake. This cake was horrible. Well, the decorating at least. My frosting tips were all messed up and nothing was working. It was supposed to be a race track cake with Speed and Racer X on the top. The white lines weren't cooperating. Thank goodness those cars covered up the really bad places. But Little Cowpoke kept saying, "Oh MOM! I LOVE my cake!" So, I guess that is all that mattered, Little Cowpoke liked it. The Speed car was his favorite. For party favors we gave our guests some small trophies with skittles and air heads in them. We put some Speed Racer stickers on the base of the trophies. Everyone was a first place winner at our party! Then we attempted to make some picture frames that had way too many pieces and we deemed it a parent activity. Plus I only had one glue, so that didn't work too well. So, the kids and I moved onto "Pin the Wheel on the Speed Racer!" Here we have the Speed Racer car, the Mach 5. With Little Cowpoke in the driver's seat. Sorry Little Cowpoke, you are black and white because I ran out of color ink in the printer. But the kids didn't mind......they were blind folded. I think one kid might have cheated! Can you guess which wheel? But that was a lot of fun. Here are all the kids! Sorry it's blurry, but you get the idea! They were all ready to eat and then do cake and presents! Cowpokette loves chips! Gross GIRL!! Can you tell she had two older brothers? Then we did presents. Yes, that is a giant sling shot! Then there was cake! Mr. Cowboy lit the candles and then we started to sing to Little Cowpoke. He was so very excited. Those four candles were tough to blow out! But he got them all. After all that cake eating, it was time to finally swim! This was the best part of all. The big kids in the big pool! The little kids in the little pool. Those little kids were a bit wild! Happy Birthday Little Cowpoke! We had a fabulous weekend together! And guess who's birthday is next? Rotten!! That is all I have to say about that girl!! :)
