The New Blog and New Filly

Well, things have been pretty crazy around here lately. The kids have started rodeo season, school, photography stuff, and a new blog! I have started a new blog for Andrea T Photography. The blog is still in the works. I am still working on some of the items in the menu bar, but most of it is up and running. I think I got the most important information up there. So, if you get a chance, head on over there and check it out and let me know what you think!! I am really excited about it.

An update on Ozzie, he is still off. He isn't dead lame anymore, just off. He had shoes put on for the first time in his life a couple days ago. He needed some lift to help release the pressure on the tendon. He was very good for the appointment. I hand walked him before hand so he wouldn't be hyper. Ozzie is getting used to stall life. He is lucky that there was a new foal was born right after he was put on stall arrest. So he has a mare and baby to stay in the barn with him. Sorry the pictures are blurry. It was super cold out when she was born. She was born in January. The mare is a four year old that my father in law bought at an auction. I think they bred the green broke four year old mare to a black and white stallion just to help sell her. Due to the fact that she wasn't all that broke. The mare is actually a really nice mare! The filly got name Mercedes. Which I am not a fan of. My mother in law names them all. I thought it would have been cute to name her Harley. But my note never counts. The last filly my mother in law named was Madonna. The one before that was Dancer. Oh, how some people shouldn't be able to name animals!! LOL The filly has really grown since these pictures. She is really nice and has filled out a bunch. I told you that there has been tons of stuff that has happened here since my computer died!! I fell like I am never going to catch up!! I have rodeo pictures and lesson pictures and more photography stuff to post too!!

What a cutie. Love that face. Think you can call her Mercy, or Sadie. Goes both ways. I love the name Mercedes, a lot a lot.

I think she should have been named Bat Girl with that mask on her face. Very cute and unique.

Dang...that girl got WHACKED with the color stick didn't she? LOL.

Nice markings. Hopefully we get to see more pics of her all filled out. Momma looks pretty nice too.

Are you expecting any babies this year?

None for us. I will have to live vicariously though my blogger buddies with babies.;)

She is cute. It will be interesting to see how she feels out. Looks like a nice frame. My little guy looks worse now. Weak neck. Oh well. BTW- I have a cow named Harley. Great name.

Gorgeous foal! I love her face. She has the gentle, soft face and eyes of her Mama. I love the name Mercedes, too. It fits her well. Not so much Harley.
What a beauty!

I'll go check out the new photo blog now. I bet it's just awesome!

She's adorable and so colorful! Yes, Mercedes, Mercy, or Sadie are good names actually.
Is the mare gray? I wonder if the filly will gray out?

OMG what a cutie!! And great color too!!

I don't think its a bad name - I know another mare named Mercedes, she is an outstanding mare, great show career - and a great producer. Maybe that Mercedes will be just like her!

Can't say I am super excited about those other names, but maybe Mercedes is a lucky name.

What a darling! I'm so jealous I'm not having any foals this year, maybe next year!

But I guess the goat, kittens and my own will suffice!

I just love babies but January is way too cold for me to be in the barn. Anything after March is more like it if I have to be on foal watch.

Sweet Face!
