Happy Birthday Dad!!

Today is my Dad's 68th Birthday! I bet right now he is getting ready for a wild and crazy party!! Dad, if you are reading this, please, keep it down. For the neighbor's sake, okay!! Well, for his birthday, I made him an e-card. Well, I should have printed it out and mailed it to him, but I emailed it to him. I think I need to print it out anyway, life has really gotten impersonal with emails. So, here is the front of his card.
He was born on a Tuesday, that is why that one tap says Tuesday. Then the inside of the card. Starting with the left side. My Dad had said that he had gone on a date when he was growing up in a 1959 Chevy El Camino. So, I did a google image search and found one!! I then put him in the car!! Just like the good old days!! I also added my Brodi dog into the back seat. My Dad calls Brodi the Devil Dog. They have a love hate relationship! Now for the inside right of the card. It's a fun little saying about "Remember When?" Then I put a little personal message on the bottom!! I wish I could be there for his birthday. I miss out on all the fun birthday party madness being so far away. Growing up my parents always made big deals about birthdays. We always had balloons and cake and our favorite homecooked meal. We would play games and then open gifts. It was the best.

Well, Dad, I hope you have a great day!! And don't have too much fun with my rowdy sisters at dinner tonight!!

What a sweet personal card you made for your Dad! I enjoyed your tale of the boys hiding the turtle from you as well. :-)

We had a rockin' time at dinner. I'll email the photos to ya. It was all I could do to keep dad from taking the stage and....oh yeah not our dad. But it was fun and a fun place to eat. And yeah we miss you too at all the family functions. Just not as fun without you!

Happy Birthday, Andrea's Dad!!

What a lovely card. So clever. The photo of him and Brody in the old care made me giggle. Love that!

Where does your Dad and sisters live? I remember when you went to visit them a while back, but I can't remember now.

What a great card!!!! Do you do scrapbooking? Happy Birthday to your Dad!

The turtle story is a hoot! Yes, he looks like a mud turtle and they don't do too well in captivity. Maybe you can talk to the little guys about releasing him into the wild and they will go along with that. Fun story though, boys will be boys!

I posted that apple turnover recipe in my most recent post. I think you were one of the ones that asked about it. :o)
