It's that Party Time of Year!!!

"What? Did someone say there was a party going on?" Yep Cowpokette, you heard right! It's Mardi Gras time here on the Gulf Coast!! And let me tell ya, these Cajun's sure do know how to throw a party. We have parades non stop for a week. There are children's parades, dog parades, Krewe Parades, Red Hat Parades, small town parades, and Mardi Gras Parades. It's so much fun. Here is a sneak peak to one parade we went to over the weekend! And that was just with in the first five minutes of standing there. It's so much fun! More on it tomorrow! Right now I am going to go to bed.

FUN! My ex-neighbors were from New Orleans and couldn't stop going on about how great Mardi Gras was. I really think it's something the rest of us can't understand, not having experienced it.
Cowpokette looks like a party girl! ;)

As long as Cowpokette doesn't start "collecting" those beads the way the 20-somethings do! ;)

Sounds like a very fun week ahead for you guys!! Cant wait to hear all about it!

How fun!!! My sister lives in Biloxi MS and when my brother and I were little (she's a big older), she would bring us buckets full of beads, coins, erasers and I can't remember what all else. We used to play "trade" with them all with the little neighbor girl. We were easily entertained. lol

My parents used to live near Pensacola, FL. They've got some awesome family style Mardi Gras parades downtown. I came home from one, one year with a bag stuffed full with beads...lots of really unique beads, too.

I miss all the excitement and bead begging of Mardi Gras now, since my parents moved up to NC.

Your kids look like they enjoyed themselves.
