Sunday's Silly

Every Sunday we get up early and try to make it out the door by 8:15am. But that is just what we try to do. Normally we are all piled into the van by 8:50 am. It takes us about 25 minuets to get to church. We made our way this morning and we were only 15 minutes late. Which isn't that bad for us!

Big Cowpoke and I made it out of the van first. I grabbed Cowpokette and we walked to the front door. Big Cowpoke was the first one inside. And you will never guess what he did when he walked in the door.

He pulled the fire alarm!!!! Well, that is one way to let everyone know that we have entered the building. The alarm went of and kept on going and going. Mr. Cowboy is the only one who knows how to turn it off and he was still in the parking lot getting Little Cowpoke out of the van. I could not believe that Big Cowpoke pulled the fire alarm. Seriously, what possesses a 7 year old boy to do that? Is it the shiny red color of the alarm? Or the fact that it says "FIRE" really big on the handle? So, needless to say, we made a grand entrance to church this morning.

I hope you all had a wonderful Valentine's Day. I got a super funny card and some flowers from all my boys. Then the Cowpokes and I made some sign language cards for Mr. Cowboy. I got the idea from my super crafty sister. She always has fun ideas. They were super easy and fast. Mr. Cowboy thought they were fantastic. Big Cowpoke insisted on having all sorts of stickers on his hand. And then the back of his hand was filled with x's and o's. It was sweet. We also had a Mardi Gras Parade that we went to. It was so much fun. But that is an entire different post!!

Not very many blogs make me laugh quite like this one did.

Sorry. It's just totally something my child would do, and I can't believe he hasn't thought of it yet.

Let's keep em separated for awhile!

Looks like you all had a very nice Valentines Day. The Fire Alarm??!! That's too funny. Believe me, it doesn't get any better as they get older.lol Brian just got back from Murray, KY from a bull riding. He said out of 160 riders only 6 rode. He lasted 7.3 seconds on his last bull. That was a rank one he drew. I didn't go, I was as nervous as a long tail cat in a room full of rockers while he was gone. We hit the rodeo road again this weekend wide open, keep your fingers crossed that maybe one of us will bring home the cash. You know the saying, 1 right 2 left, under 15 show me the green.lol

It was funny. Everyone inside just looked stunned with a "What is that sound" look and my lil' princess covered her ears then hit the floor in a barrel roll. I was too busy laughing to say her name loud enough for her to hear me. A classic memory for years to come.

Going to have to stick that in the primary yearbook somehow.

I think I went through the majority of my childhood with a hankering to pull that red lever. It's irresistable. Kids just have to know what happens when they pull it, and by making fire alarms off limit to kids, we pretty much guarantee that they will experiment. Even in college, the boys were pulling the dorm fire alarm on a regular basis. It may have been embarrassing for you, but will become a treasured memory someday. My mother always tells the story of when my brother colored all over the nursery room walls with his crayons. I'm sure she was really angry when it happened, but the way she tells it now, she thought the artwork was beautiful. Right.

You guys always make church fun! Hey, it was perfect timing though, see he knew we were running late and that's why he pulled it!

OM Goodness! Too funny..and in church no less. I bet you were red from embarassment, too.

My sons did this when they were 6 or 7, too!
But we were all in the dressing room where I was trying on clothing. At first I thought I had done something wrong, and then I thought it was a fire...and there I was half naked.
It was my stinker boys playing with the fire alarm! gah!

When we came out of the dressing room, everyone in the store was staring at us. Geez!

Happy V-Day! Those love sign cards are so festive!
