It's that time of year again, with Spring right around the corner, love is in the air. Well, at least it is for Red. Red was playing hard to get. He was not in the mood for any love from Mr. Cowboy. But he gave in, when Mr. Cowboy started to give him a good rub down. Mr. Cowboy is good at sweet talkin to Red. Then it was time to introduce Red to his new girlfriend. We had the first girlfriend of the season stop by our barn on Tuesday. Dixie was a bit nervous about meeting her new man. She wasn't too sure what to expect. Then, because men take longer than woman to get ready, she got a bit board. Seriously, what is it with men taking so long to get ready? Well, it's actually Mr. Cowboy who takes so long. He likes Red to talk to his ladies, and be a gentleman. Just a little nicker here and there. Red has a way with the ladies. And I need to talk to Mr. Cowboy about how to keep all of his fingers. That man, always living on the edge. Then they finally met, and it was love at first sight. This is a "G" rated blog, so I couldn't show the entire......uhm....ya know........picture. But Little Cowpoke was intrigued. He even got dressed in his black permanent marker warrior paint for the occasion. Okay, it wasn't for the occasion, it was just because it's fun to draw all over your face with black permanent marker. Little Cowpoke has never had the chance to watch a breeding before, so he had a few questions. But it's all cleared up now. So, there is a lot of love in the air this week at our farm. We also have been riding every night until dark, getting ready for the Rodeo on Sunday.
And I have not forgotten about my little giveaway I did a while back. I am in the process of making some fun homemade projects for the winners. I will let you all know soon.

Love is in the air! Glad you;ve had better weather for that than we have! Since Tuesday it has been raining, cold and yucky! Crazy weather!
Oh La La!
Definitely going to get a beautiful baby out of that one!
Whooo hoooo! I can almost hear the burlesque/p*rno music playing out in that field.
The mare looks content, doesn't she? lol!
I would have so loved to be standing beside you as you explained the facts of life to your curious, little, black striped face young man. hehe
Happy Trails!

Hope everything turns out well for all concerned. I hope that marker washes off, if it's really permanent it could be there for days. I'd love to hear the explanation too.
Red is very handsome. I hope he enjoyed his afternoon.
I left something for you on my blog but something went haywire with the link. Sorry. But it's the thought that counts, right?
Ok, uh, EUWWW!!!!!!
Could have done without THAT!!
I thought it was done by test tube... Handsome horse..
Those are two gorgeous horses. I'm glad that's just permanent marker. It was lookin' a little like leaches for a minute there.
Red... The big stud!
So, she looks bored and his eyes are bulgin'. Does this sound right?
No pictures? Are you kidding me? I feel robbed.
That last picture of Little Cowpoke is stunning. Great, great shot--love the blurred background and gorgeous colors. You're more awesome every day.
