I put all the names of the people who left a comment into a bowl. And I shook and stirred them up. Then I asked for my lovely assistant to come and help choose a winner. In when Little Cowpoke's hand. I felt it was fair if he could see what he was doing being that he does not know how to read. When he reached in he moved the names around and around. Then out came the name. Can you read that? Little Cowpoke is a bit cross eyed. Can you read it now?Well, I will help you all out if you can't read what the little paper says. Congrats goes to Brown Eyed Cowgirls! Yeah! And now for the second winner. The winner of the Burt Bees hand cream. To win this fabulous prize, you had to try and come up with a name for our mare, Blaze. There were a lot of fun ones. Thank you everyone for your ideas. But the name that Mr. Cowboy liked the best was......"Lil Bit of Blaze." And the fun creative gal who came up with that name is KD over at Zambito Oaks Farm. Thank you every one for being apart of my contest. This was so much fun and I will have to do it again soon! If you have won, just email me your address and I will send you off your wonderful prize!
Update on the Sale Barn Gelding. Mr. Dallas, the horse trader, called yesterday and said that if we want the horse that we can buy it for $375. But only this week. If we wait until next week the price will go back up. He said they have been riding the gelding and he is fine. Dallas said he is feeling generous and has 21 horses at his place right now and he needs to thin out his herd. Of coarse he is at the sale barn today too! He must want to buy one today. But that is alright. Mr. Dallas does a great job saving horses from the Kill Buyer. He gives them jobs and then finds them homes. So, tomorrow Mr. Cowboy and I are going to drive over to Mr. Dallas's barn and pick up our little gelding. Oh, I am so excited about him. And it makes me feel a lot better that everyone else has trouble with their horses being barn sour too. I will take pictures and then I will do a poll for a name for him. I am really excited. So, if you all have any suggestions for a small sorrel gelding, let me know. Some names off the top of my head are, Sarg, Trooper, Ranger, Dundee, and Vern. I like Vern. My husband thinks I am weird because I want to name a horse Vern. I am sure the Cowpokes will veto my name.
