Rocket Ship to the Moon

What do you do with an old dried up Christmas tree? Well, ours is going to end up in our pond for fish to call it home. But until the dried up tree makes it to the pond, y'all climb aboard the Rocket Ship. Destination, the Moon. Find your seat! Check your weapons to make sure they work. You never know when you might see invaders. "SHHHHHHHH.....VROOOOOOMMMM!!" Sound effects help too. Big Cowpoke is a super start at sound effects. Oh, no, look out, here comes some invaders! You must think quick, before the invaders eat our rocket ship!! And we are safe! Good team work! Next stop, the moon!(The moon was yellow because the sun was coming up and the moon hadn't quiet gone to bed yet.)

I love country kiddos and there imaginations! Priceless! Thanks for sharing there creation!

BTW-Savannah had been wanting a gun for the last 1 1/2 years, we wanted to make sure she was serious and it wasn't just because! She was relentless this past year and that is why she got it for Christmas. She was ready. My feelings are the younger you teach them the better. Of course she has been around guns from the day she was born. We have always taught her to respect them and the number 1 rule: They are ALWAYS loaded, especially at our house. You'll know when the time is right. They even have camo and different colors in that Cricket we got her. It is great for new shooters, here I sound like a infommerical. We got hers at Gander Mountain for around $100.

LOL KDW ;) I agree 10000%-- every gun in our house is the same way. And the boys KNOW IT. They TOUCH NOTHING. They think they are ready at 3 and 4 for their own little .22's BUT ... Dear Husband and I don't think we want to get them pink ones.... hehehe

ANYWAYS- Andrea!! As always, your crew is a riot. How the heck do you keep up with those three?? Bless your heart girl, you have got to be totally exhausted by the end of the day....

Love the rocket ship idea!

I would put it in the yard for the birds to use to hide in from hawks...

Nice moon photo. We tried and tried to get one in Mexico, but couldn't figure out the right setting.

I love when kids get creative in play. But I keep thinking how prickly that must be!

Hey Andrea! I have a question to ask you:
I'd LOVE to do a post on heels and heels alone. Would you be interested in taking some pics of your horses' heels, and allowing me to use them to show orientation of growth and details like that?

Heels are a Hot Topic, and it seems like some explanations on height, growth patterns, and what to look for would help some horses out.

If you want to do that, shoot me an email at swequine@yahoo.com

Thanks! And kiss those babies from me!

Those boys and their rockets and weapons. lol!
Big Cowpoke looks a little verklempt. Did he want to ride in front?

Great idea to put the old tree in the pond. The fish will love it.

Terrific shot of the moon, too.

My husband is so jealous! He wants a pond real bad. He knew exactly what you were talking about with the tree in there. Ponds are a little harder to come by out here in the desert. Cute, cute kids!
