The Changing Weather

The weather has gone from the high 70's to cold and rainy 50's. The winds are from the north, which makes things extra chilly down here. I know, this may sound warm to many of you, but really, it's not. It's a wet yucky, windy, cold. That chills you to the bone. I am glad we got our horseback riding in earlier this week. Red's girlfriend is probably going to be breaking up with him today, or at least we are thinking she is going to. Which is great. Red's job will be done. Nobody wants to be breeding horses in the rain. At least I do not want to. My husband called his friend, Corey, who trains cutters and reiners, and he will be able to take Ozzie in about two weeks. Corey says he is so busy right now, he is actually building four more stalls. This is after he has already built six other new stalls. He said he now is as busy as he was over in Aubrey, Texas. I am excited about Ozzie going over there. With the chilly weather, the Cowpokes and I are staying inside. Oh how, I loved our small warm spell. I hope it comes back soon. Sunday we have a rodeo and I do not want to be playing outside all day in the cold. So, I hope the weather will, at least, get back up to 60 by Sunday, please Mr. Weatherman. Other than that, not much exciting is going on here. Just the normal laundry, cleaning, cooking, and more laundry. Does anybody else have as big of a laundry pile as me? It's about two feel tall and all needs to be folded. Ugh.......I hate to fold laundry. It's never ending. I even went through the kids' clothes and got rid of half of them and still have laundry everywhere. I really hate school uniforms. It makes for one more extra thing to wash. My oldest wears two outfits, five days a week. Double UHG!!! But I need to head out to the grocery store today. We are having company over for dinner, and I have no idea what to cook! What are you having for dinner tonight? I welcome any and all ideas!! So, of to the store I go. I hope you all have a fabulous weekend. Tomorrow, I am spending the day cooking food for the rodeo, and packing warm clothes for the rodeo. Then Sunday, I have to teach a lesson in church, then off to the rodeo! Happy Weekend All!!!

It is the same thing here in Southeast Texas... cold and drizzly! Yuck. I was looking forward to a nice spring break.

Dinner? Hmmmmm... I made a pork loin the other day that was sooooo good. I just sprinkled steak seasoning all over the top and cooked it it the oven as directed. I added some time because it still looked a little pink in the middle. And when I pulled it out to check it, I poured a little water in the pan. It was super tender, and sooooo good. Then some mashed potatoes with cheese and bacon bits.... OK, now I am hungry.

Love the tutu!

We're in the 80's but I think we're fixing to get some rain.

And that little one is too precious.

We had chili yesterday and we are having homemade cheese steak sandwiches some time this weekend. I have never done those and am not sure how they will turn out.

It has been that way here for the past 3 days, still raining and cold and windy here. They say tomorrow it's supposed to clear off, I hope so my pasture is flooded and everything is mush! We need the rain!

The 50's is considered hot here for this time of year, but I am with you on rain..it's just miserable. I hope your dinner goes well and that it doesn't rain at the rodeo...Michelle

Okay...not to have my own private pity party, but it is 18 degrees here right now!!!! That makes 50 seem warm...lol!!!!

Sorry...I don't have any dinner ideas off the top of my head, and I am sure that I missed your deadline anyway. It sounds like you have a busy weekend ahead!!!

PS-I just read your post below (about "love") and it gave me a good laugh!! :)

The tutu pictures are just sooooooo cute! Love them! I hope it warms up a bit for you for your rodeo. It's been very cold here the last couple of days, in the
30's and 40's with wind along with it. Supposed to get up to almost 50* next week.

Red is just gorgeous! GORGEOUS! Glad he and the girlfriend got along with no problems. The only love in the air around here are the pigeons that are making
goo-goo eyes at each other! lol!
