Just Another Monday.......

Well, not really. The alarm went off at 4:45 am. Which is the time that it always goes off. I normally roll over and shake Mr. Cowboy awake and then hit snooze. But this morning I woke him up and begged, "Will you please get up and get me some decongestant and some Advil?"

And like a good Mr. Cowboy, he rolled over and went back to sleep. He did end up getting up, 15 minutes later, and got me some medicine. I took it and tried to go back to sleep. Then just about 20 minutes later, I woke up with the worst stomach ache known to man kind!

I have thought, that in the past, I had had a strong tolerance for pain. I didn't even really think labor pains were that bad. But this.....this stomach ache was horrible. It was so bad that I was trembling and sweating like I had just ran a marathon!! I called to Mr. Cowboy for help!

He came in and felt my head and said, "You aren't hot, but man you are sweaty!" I had sweat dripping off my face, arms, and back! I am telling you, it was crazy! I begged Mr. Cowboy to stay home and take care of the kids because I was in NO way going to be able to get them up for school and then take care of a two year old all day.

So, he DID! Let me put this day down in the record books, Mr. Cowboy STAYED HOME FROM WORK to be with me!! He NEVER does this. I must have looked horrible! He even made me a doctor's appointment. We went where they tested me for the flu, which I didn't have.

The Doctor said I had a reaction to the Advil and decongestant medicine on an empty stomach. I will never, ever, ever, do that again! So, now I have been spoiled all day! Mr. Cowboy had made me lunch in bed and let me lay down under the warm covers and rest! It's been wonderful!! I feel a lot better too!

Hopefully tomorrow will be a better day! But Mr. Cowboy was so good to me today!! Maybe I should be ill every day.........

LOL! Way to go Mr. Cowboy. The husband will do anything to get out of going to work and staying home with me. Glad it wasn't anything serious.

Ah, how sweet! sucks that you had to feel so crummy, but what a great reminder of how much he cares~ tylenol on an empty stomach is a killer for me... I've learned that lesson the hard way!

Yikes! That is scary, but I'm glad it's nothing serious. At first I thought you were going to tell us you had appendicitis! I took too much Excedrin once for a migraine and felt really awful, too. The caffeine (on an empty stomach) made me sick and shaky and awful.
You are lucky to have such a caring hubby and I think once you feel better you should make him a nice dinner.
Just kidding. It's part of his marriage requirement, right?? "In sickness and in health?" LOL!

What a nice Mr Cowboy you have!! That was so sweet of him to stay home and take care of you! My OH would never stay home to do that, but he has had to come home from work early to take me to the emergency room. And he will take good care of me while he is home.
So glad it wasn't anything serious, and glad you are feeling better!!!

Way late Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

Hope you feel better today!

Man did your kids make out! How awesome! They look so happy and excited!

Also - your photography of the children in you previous post? Awesome Andrea. For real. They are all good, but you really have an eye for capturing a child.

Keep it up!

I'm glad you weren't seriously ill, and YEAH! for Mr. Cowboy taking care of you. That's a rarity.

You must have forgot how I ended up in the hospital last November for taking Advil on an empty stomach. I felt so sick from babysitting at a house with a damaged fireplace. The smoke smell made me have a terrible migraine and I just felt woozy.

I got home and took 3 advil and went to sleep. A few hours later I woke up with tummy pains AND what felt like the beginings of a hear attack! The ambulance came and took me away around midnight.

Come to find out after much testing that the advil on an empty tummy was in the process of causing a tummy ulcer and it had caused me to have the worst heartburn ever!

I will NEVER EVER take advil or tylenol on a empty stomach ever ever again. And you better not either. I keep crackers in my bedside table drawer just in case I need to take something now.

I'm glad you're ok.

Ahhhhh, what a great hubby! I can't take Tylenol because of my heart beating fast and feeling loopy. Crazy over the counter meds!
