Get the Heck Out of Dodge.

So, I have left town. I had to drive all the way to Arkansas to get a hotel room. They were all booked up. It was a fun 11 hour drive. It wasn't too bad. The kids do really well in the car. While I drove, I kept in touch with Mr. Cowboy. He told me about the winds and about some rain. All and all it wasn't too bad. Mr. Cowboy told me that the electricity never went out. I should have stayed home. But instead of staying home, I drove all the way to Ohio. I decided to make a last minute trip to Urbana, Ohio to visit my best friend. I have not seen her in about a year. We have been having fun catching up on things. Today we are going out to her sister in law's place. She trains and owns Morgans. So, I am excited to go and meet her. Then we are going to go to her mini horse farm. I can't wait. I will be here in Ohio until Friday. Then I get to make the two day trip home. Big Cowpoke has school on Monday. I will keep you all updated on what is going on. Mr. Cowboy said everything was going great back at home.

Whoohoo! I was wondering if you had hunkered down, or headed out. Cant say as though I blame you, and just look at the fun you got to have catching up and seeing beautiful Morgans. ;)

Have a safe trip home, and cant wait to hear more about your visit!

Lucky for you, you're having fun because you would be so mad if you weren't and you had left for THAT. Girl, we have scarier summer thunderstorms. No thunder and lighting, strong but not scarey winds and very little rain. We all crawled in bed and took a nap. lol

Now, today is a different story. He has stretched out so much that the very tip of his tail is lingering over us. Lots of rain, thunder and lighting and TORNADOES! Tornadoes all over the place spitting out the sky left and right. We didn't get any but they were just barely north of us. It looks like it's all clearing up now though.

My money says you come home with a mini horse.

Glad everything stayed relatively calm! But better safe than sorry!

Glad you are having a good time while you are avoiding the weather. Good to hear things are okay at home.
A mini will fit in the backseat of a car.

Glad to hear from ya! Sounds like you turned a get out of dodge trip into a fun one! Have a great time with your BFF and be safe on your way home!
We have been getting some winds and rain from Hurricane Gustv here. Hopefully tomorrow will be the last of it. From what I hear it could have been alot worse for us here.
Be safe~((HUGS))

It looks like Cowpokette had a great first birthday. She is getting so big! Such a cute little girl! LOVED your fancy cake!

Glad everyone made it through this ok?

Would you mind posting your 'ugly chicken' recipe? Now you've peaked my interest and I'm always looking for kid-friendly dishes!
