I'm Back

I finally made it home this afternoon. It was a long two day drive. My visit was great. I love Ohio. I love the hills and the corn fields. It's so beautiful. But before I go on and on about my trip to Ohio, I wanted to get caught up on what happened before I left. Mr. Cowboy got out some "treasures" that have been kept in a storage shed for over two years. We had a whole slew of boards to use. Mr. William came to help out with the board cutting. He is such a great helper. Little Cowpoke thought it was so cool to be cutting up some wood. Then came the second go round of cutting. This board must have been a bit harder or something. The hand saw was really loud. What is it with boys and power tools. I know they never out grow it. Boys just love power tools. Mr. Cowboy then put four clips on the wood and then pushed the wood up into the windows. And the wood stays tight in place. Pretty cool huh? I am so blessed to have such a handy husband. I would have cried if some one handed me some clips and power tools and told me to go and get the wood to fit into the window frames. Mr. Cowboy was so good too. He took down the boards the day after the storm. Good thing he marked which boards go on which windows, because he is going to be putting those boards back up this weekend. Few, this year's hurricane season is a bit on the wild side. I prefer not to live on the wild side.

Update on Ozzie. I went out to the barn to feed horses this evening and you would not believe how fat Ozzie looks. I should have taken a picture of Ozzie when I got him home. His spine was showing and you could see everyone of his ribs. The "trainer claimed that Ozzie got taller, but he didn't get that much taller. But that doesn't matter, Ozzie is home now and all is well. He gets fed once a day with the other horses and then is out to pasture with the rest of our mares. He has a nice grass belly in just one week. I am going to start working him this Monday. Then it's back to work. Poor boy won't know what hit him.

Yea! You made it. I hope you plan on posting pix from Ohio. I was born there and all my relatives still live there--I feel a sense of pride when it's mentioned.

I bet your horse is so happy to be home! I still don't like that trainer!
